The ECM consultant should at least have 10 years’ experience in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and/or Enterprise Information Management (EIM).
1.1. Purpose of the post:
- To develop and Implement ECM and EIM Strategies and Roadmaps.
- To develop and Implement ECM and EIM Governance Frameworks (Policies, Procedures and Standards)
- To assist with the implementation of the ECM and EIM tools and Instruments such as File Plan, Taxonomies, Metadata Schema etc.
- Support ECM / EIM Technology implementation from analysis, design, implementation, testing and Training
1.2 Description of tasks
The key tasks for Senior ECM / EIM consultant include and not limited to:
- Assisting the organisation in conducting ECM / EIM Assessments.
- Assisting the organisation in conducting ECM / EIM Maturity Assessments
- Assisting the organisation in developing ECM Strategies, frameworks and roadmaps.
- Defining and developing ECM Instruments (Taxonomies, file plan, metadata schema, content inventory etc)
- Supporting the translation of the development ECM instruments into technology implementation.
- Assisting with defining ECM /EIM requirements as part of the ECM Technology implementation.
- Assist in developing ECM test scripts in line with ECM/EIM requirements document.
- Assisting with the testing of ECM / EIM Solution to ensure that they meet customer requirements.
- Assisting with conducting training on ECM solutions and services
- Working collaboratively with the ECM / EIM team to ensure successful delivery of ECM / EIM solution and services
- Ensuring the successful management of organizational content, documents and records and information from creation to disposition.
1.3. Competency requirements
Knowledge
- Knowledge of governmental environment.
- Knowledge of information management.
- Specialist knowledge of ECM / EIM practices, principles and tools.
- Understanding of most prevalent ECM /EIM systems used.
- Knowledge of relevant standards as well as the statutory and regulatory framework relating to ECM.
- Experience with Records Management is an asset.
- Experience in a consulting environment is an asset.
- Working knowledge of OpenText solutions is an asset and an added advantage.

- Experience in the field of electronic records management
- Extensive experience as a manager or team leader
