The Change Management Consultant should at least have 5 years’ experience in Change Management for IT Related Projects.

1.1. Purpose of the post:

  • To develop and Implement Change Management Strategies and Plans.
  • Development of communication plan specifically for the project.
  • Planning change management activities.
  • Development of Training Plan
  • Management of Change, Communication and Training Pan
  • Supporting organisational leadership through the change process.
  • Development and Implementation of Change embedding strategy and plan

1.2 Description of tasks

The key tasks for a Change Management Consultant include and not limited to:

  • Assessing an organization’s readiness for change
  • Tailoring communication strategically to get the right messages to the right people in a way that will be received as well as possible.
  • Building buy-in across the entire organization
  • Leveraging digital adoption tools to speed up the transition process and contextualize a transformation for the internal team
  • Assessing and prioritizing feedback from those affected by the change
  • Assess effectiveness of the change management plan
  • Continuous updating of the change management plan
  • Managing organisational change across the lifecycle of the project.

1.3. Competency requirements


  • Knowledge of governmental environment.
  • Knowledge of IT Project Management Principles.
  • Experience in a consulting environment is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of OpenText solutions is an asset and an added advantage.
  • Understanding of most prevalent ECM /EIM systems used in the industry will be an added advantage.

1.4 Qualification

  • Relevant National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in, Information Technology, Information Management or Personnel / Human Resource Management.
  • Prosci Change Management Certification.

1.5 Experience

  • Extensive experience in managing change for IT related project.
  • Experience as a manager or team leader
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in managing change in ECM/EIM/RM project will be an added advantage.
